November 23, 2007:
During the NFBC main event draft I think a lot of players have a lot trouble deciding when to take a risk/reward pick. A rookie player most likely makes a move for a young player with upside too early. A seasoned player might chose to play it safe and avoid any rookies or players coming off an injury early in the draft.

I don't draft Judy's
|
|
November 08, 2007:
I’m not a big fan of drafting “Judy” base stealers. I call a base stealer who can’t hit homeruns Judy. If a player hits less than 5 homeruns and steals bases, I put him in my Judy group of players. At the draft, many fantasy players will take a pure base stealer too early.

When to draft a Closer?
|
|
November 08, 2007:
When do I draft a closer? This is a tough question. It really comes down to how you want to structure you team. If you want a closer with a solid resume, he is going to be drafted early. If you are willing to take one who doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, you can find one later in the draft.

With a decline in homers overall in 2007, a stud first baseman might have more value in 2008. A Ryan Howard owner could have a huge edge over an owner who plays a Todd Helton type at first. Many teams could get beat by at least 20 homers at first base.

Let me introduce myself and the Baseball Mafia. My name is Sammy “the Ball” and I am the Boss of the Baseball Mafia, a collection of the best fantasy baseball players in the industry today.
Are you still paying a bunch of mathematicians to sit around and calculate rotisserie values? These are the same guys that sit on the sidelines and tell you how to play a game that frankly, you never see them play except for the occasional Expert League with little or no risk on their part? Why do you think that is?
Rather than sit on a sideline, we collected the best guys playing the game today. Our team of content providers actively participate at an elite level in the national challenges that matter, whether it be the CDM Fantasy Baseball Games or the premier live-event the NFBC (National Fantasy Baseball Challenge). We are real players, putting up real results by taking out the competition in any venue possible.
I believe true, candid fantasy baseball commentary, analysis and advice is missing from the industry. We will share our opinions openly and candidly and you can read our columns with confidence knowing that our past successes are enough to give credence to what we believe.
We want to share our analysis with you, and help you take out your competition as the Baseball Mafia takes over Fantasy Baseball as we know it today. Remember, winners aren’t born – Champions are Made!
Join Today and align forces, or be next to get rubbed out by the Baseball Mafia.
